My fiancé and I wanted to figure out a way to make a cute couples Halloween costume but still be safe this year and incorporate a mask. We decided to go for the rhinestone cowboy look! icon

First, I started with an old denim jacket I had.

Then, I used fabric fusion glue to adhere black fringe and rhinestone trim to the back stitching and each sleeve of the jacket.

For the front, I went across the stitching above the pockets, but cut where the jacket closes so you can still open and close the jacket!

Next, I grabbed two white bandanas for the masks.

I folded and ironed them so they would fit our faces.

Then, I used fabric fusion glue to adhere black fringe to either side.

For our hats, I purchased costume cowboy hats.

Then, I used hot glue to adhere white and rhinestone trim.

For the men's part of the costume, I grabbed a plain black button up.

I used fabric fusion glue to adhere white trim to the collar.

Then, I added black fringe and white trim to the pocket.

And finally, I added some black fringe and white trim to the back as well.

For $60 total - you can stay safe and still dress up for Halloween in 2020. icon

We styled our costumes with black pants, black shoes and I added a silver top to finish off my look!

This is awesome! I love the fringe you added to the mask.

Not this year I do not have a cowboy jacket. It is a great costume, but it can be worn, everyday with dungarees. Very talented.
