New vs old contour technique

1. The old contour technique

You might be used to applying your bronzer or contour in a diagonal line by your cheekbones. This, however, will not give you a lifted effect:

2. The new contour technique

Instead, use your finger as a guide to draw an upward curve toward your temple.

Then, from the starting point, draw another line going upward toward the tail of your eyebrow, creating a V-like shape.

This new contour technique gives a flattering lift to my face while the old contour technique emphasizes the cheek and brings my face downward.
