Hey there, I made culottes!

I've never made culottes before, but now I have I realise how useful they are, I'm going to give you all the "how to" details and then style them two ways!!

For my first pair of Culottes I chose the Rachel pattern by Fibremood

Rachel Bermuda | Fibre Mood

Using this gorgeous Atelier brunette Viscose challis from Minerva.com

Atelier Brunette Palmetto Viscose Challis Fabric | 1253274 | Minerva

Once the fabric was all cut, the first step is those great pleats in the fronts.

Next the pocket bags are attached to the front and back panels, then the zip is pinned and stitched in.

Now the back sections are stitched together at the back seam and the sides stitched together

Almost complete, just the waistband and hems and we'll be out of the door!!

Tada!!!

I'm so pleased with my first ever pair of culottes, here I've styled them with some flat ballet pumps and a classic white T-shirt, I don't think you can beat this look.

But if you fancy an alternate look, what about this one? Here I've styled my Rachel Culottes with a strappy top, flat pumps and a cardi.

The culottes were really cool and floaty. This pic was snapped outside our local Art Gallery, I'm off to the cinema in this outfit and it was perfect, its always chilly in our local cinema and I was comfy walking there from the carpark and warm watching the movie. Which is your favourite look??
