Have you ever tried an instant cut crease eye makeup look?

This incredible technique is fairly quick and if you've ever had problems creating a clean cut crease, especially for hooded eyes, then you must try it!

The trick is to use a lash curler as a stencil to quickly and neatly create a stunning, crystal cut crease. Let’s get started.

Filling in brows

1. Fill in your brows

Fill in just the sparse areas. Start with the top portion of your brows.

Then, brush your brow hairs upward with a spoolie and fill in any gaps in the lower portion of your eyebrows.

I keep mine looking as natural as possible, but if you like them more defined, you can also use a brow pomade.

2. Apply brow gel

Next, apply a transparent brow gel to keep your eyebrows in check.

3. Create an even skin tone under your brows

Using concealer, fill in the area under your brows for an even skin tone. With a small, angled brush, start by following directly under your eyebrows.

Applying concealer

Continue spreading the concealer downward, toward your lash line.

Then blend with a soft brush on your eyelid until your lash line.

Applying setting powder

Next, apply setting powder just above your crease to make the blending easy.

4. Map out a new crease

Gently place one corner of the curler to the inner corner of your eye and press lightly.

Mapping out new crease

As you can see, this creates a new crease in your socket, which makes the eyelid appear bigger.

5. Apply color to your lids

Start off with a deep brown color on a small, angled brush. Put your eyelash curler in place, as described in the previous step.

Then, apply the brown eye shadow along the top curve of the eyelash curler.

Adding color

The eyelash curler is essentially your stencil.

You can still see my natural crease line going right across my lid, along with the new crease in brown, making my eyelids appear much larger!

Adding color

6. Extend your lash line

Use the side of the lash curler as an extension of your lash line.

Place it in the outer corner and apply the brown eyeshadow along the side of the curler and move outward to make a wing.

Here we have a defined, outer corner in no time!

Eyeshadow wing

Add in as much of the brown as you like to define the wing even more.

Blending

7. Blend

Next, use a soft brush and a light brown eyeshadow directly on the deeper shade and blend until diffused.

Even though I chose neutrals, you can use any color of eyeshadows for this cut crease eye makeup.

I recommend sticking with matte shades for the crease and lash extension lines but you can use a shimmer for the lid.

Blending

Use the lighter corner to diffuse out the sharp edge for a soft wing. This is especially forgiving for hooded eyes.

8. Define your lower lash line

Stamp a maroon shadow to your lower lash line.

Next, diffuse it out using a dusty rose shade to make it softer with a small, definer brush.

9. Apply primer (optional)

Make your eyes tacky by applying eyeshadow primer to your lids. This is optional but it will ensure that the shimmer eyeshadows stay on. If you don’t have a primer, you can also use concealer.

10. Apply champagne shimmer to the inner corners

Now, apply champagne colored shimmer in the inner corners of your eyes, while the eyelids are tacky.

11. Apply gold shimmer

Next, apply a gold shimmer eyeshadow to the center of your eyelids.

12. Highlight your brow bones

Going back to the regular eyeshadow pallet, use a light tan tone with some sheen to highlight your brow bones.

You can also use a highlighter if you prefer.

Cut crease eye makeup

Cut creases have never been easier! If you were creating the cut crease like me back around 2015, it was much more complicated.

But with this hack, the lash curler becomes the perfect stencil, allowing you to effortlessly create this glam, cut crease eye makeup.
