Fun and Easy Disgust Inside Out Costume for Halloween
I’m going to be making a DIY Disgust Inside Out costume for Halloween. I love the Inside Out film and I also love dressing up as Disney characters so this outfit was really a no-brainer for me. I’m really looking forward to getting creative with the makeup and the costume so let’s jump on in!
Tools and materials:
- Foundation
- Concealer
- Blush
- Eyeshadow
- Liquid eyeliner
- Eyelash curler
- Mascara
- Lipstick
- Green wig
- White mesh top
- White skater skirt
- Green dye
- Purple ribbon
- Purple sneakers
1. Makeup
Start off the makeup look with some normal foundation and concealer. Then apply a mauve shade of blush. You want to put the blush on very heavily as the character Disgust has big, rosy cheeks.
Next up, as I’m not painting my face green, I still wanted to incorporate some green in the makeup look so I’m making my eyebrows green by filling them in with some green matte eyeshadow.
Do this the way you would normally fill in your eyebrows. After filling in my eyebrows, I felt that it still wasn’t enough for this makeup look so I applied some liquid eyeliner in a bright green. The eyeliner is glittery so as well as adding more color it also adds a little bit of shine.
Disgust has a pink eyeshadow that matches her blush color so go for an eyeshadow in a similar shade to your blush and apply it to your lid and crease.
Next, draw a thin line with a black liquid eyeliner on your upper lashline to make your eyes look bigger and more animated.
On your lower lashline, go in with the same eyeshadow that you used on your eyebrows.
To prep for the mascara, curl your eyelashes and then apply the mascara. You want your lashes to look long, very long and full. Then apply the same glitter eyeliner that you applied to your eyebrows and put it on your eyelashes as a green mascara.
Last but not least, apply some violet-colored lipstick to make your lips bright purple.
That is the finished makeup look, obviously, it is more of an inspired makeup look of her, not an exact replica.
2. Hair
For the hair, I popped on a short green wig.
3. Costume
In terms of the costume, for the top, I got a white long-sleeved top that has some mesh detail on it as well as a white skater skirt.
Obviously, Disgust wears green clothes so I got some green fabric dye and followed the directions on the bottle to dye the clothes green.
To finish the outfit off, I tied some sparkly purple ribbon around my neck and waist and I also have on some purple sneakers.
I’m really happy with the finished Disgust look and it was very easy to achieve. The outfit is great by itself, but I also think that this could be a fun group costume idea if you get your friends to dress up as the other Inside Out characters. Happy Halloween!
