How to Make a Charcoal Blackhead Remover Mask With Elmer's Glue
Today I am trying out the charcoal blackhead remover mask. This mask is very easy to make as there are only two ingredients: activated charcoal and Elmer's glue!
In my previous tutorial, I shared how to make a DIY peel-off face mask using egg white and tissue.
However, this activated charcoal blackhead mask has become super popular online for removing blackheads and other gunk in your pores, so I wanted to see how well this actually works!
Best activated charcoal!
Tools and materials:
- Elmer's glue
- Activated charcoal
- Damp warm towel
- Spoon
- Bowl
1. Add Elmer's glue to a bowl
Pour one tablespoon of Elmer's glue into a small bowl.
2. Add the charcoal
Add two capsules of activated charcoal to the bowl. Break open the capsules and pour the activated charcoal inside.
3. Mix
Mix the glue and charcoal together until well combined.
4. Prep your face
Make sure your face is very clean, then press a hot and damp towel all over your face. This will help prep the pores and open them up.
Alternatively, you can steam your face as well.
5. Apply the mask
Apply the mask generously to all your problem areas. Make sure to apply a very thick layer so that the mask peels off in one piece.
Because I had extra mask, I applied some of the mask to my dad as well!
6. Wait
Wait 15-20 minutes for the mask to dry before peeling it off.
7. Peel off
Gently peel off the mask and see how great it works at taking out your blackheads!
For me, I didn’t really have many blackheads but it did a great job of removing all my whiteheads and the sebum from my pores.
The activated charcoal has amazing detoxing properties that help deep clean your pores.
Here you can see how it removed so many whiteheads and sebum from my face.
Here is my dad’s. You can see that it removed so much gunk and blackheads!
