Super Easy DIY Avocado Face Mask Recipe
Here's a super easy and quick DIY avocado face mask for this dry winter season to help you get soft, supple and glowing skin instantly!
You can also apply this mask on your hair to give instant nourishment and shine. This is one of my favorite homemade masks for this season.
Tools and materials:
- Avocado
- Small plate
- Tablespoon
- Fork
- Honey
- Makeup brush
- Washcloth or muslin cloth
1. Prep avocado
Scoop about 2 tablespoons from a fresh, ripe avocado. It’s rich in vitamins E, C and A, so it’s great for your skin. Mash it with a fork until smooth, removing any large fibers.
2. Add honey
Add about 1 tablespoon of honey to the avocado. Mix them into a paste. The honey is rich in antioxidants which are also helpful for clear skin.
I have combination/oily skin, so these are the only ingredients I add to the DIY avocado face mask. But, if you have super dry skin, you can also add in olive oil or almond oil.
3. Apply your avocado and honey face mask
Clean and dry your face as you normally would. Then, using a makeup brush, apply the concoction generously to your skin.
Make sure you cover all of your face.
4. Let it sit
Leave the mask on for 15-20 minutes.
Feel free to snack on the leftover avocado as you wait! Eating avocados can also boost the hydration of your skin and hair.
5. Wipe clean
Using a clean, warm washcloth, wipe off the mask.
Here, I’m using a muslin cloth. Rinse off any extra residue from your skin.
You should be left with soft, glowy, hydrated skin.
