Rainbow Gingham Dress DIY

The time is right, Crafters! Time to make something wild and crazy and fun and (only slightly) ridiculous! Why? Because why not?! 🙂 Get all the bright-colored fabric you can find and join me for the sewing adventure! I began with inspiration from one of my favorite, easy patterns. See that long dress on the right? What if we make that one, but in gingham? And in rainbow colors?!

See? I wasn’t kidding about the rainbow colors! (I have been saving gingham remnants for a looooong time! lol!)

It took a while, but I eventually sewed lots of gingham to lots more gingham! 😉 I added elastic to the neckline, sleeves, and waist. The skirt was made from four tiers of gathered fabric.

After lots and lots (and lots) of fabric gathering, I finally had a rainbow gingham dress!!!

I took my dress for a springtime walk and discovered some beautiful wildflowers along the way! You can see the whole adventure here! 🙂

I sure enjoyed this project and hope you did too! Maybe it will inspire you to make something fun, bright, and little bit crazy! 😉 Be sure to subscribe to our blog and Youtube channel for lots more projects coming your way! Enjoy, and stay crafty, Everyone! 🙂
