Easy Half-up Braided Hairstyle
Try this half-up braided hairstyle for an easy way to switch up your everyday look. Just follow along with my step-by-step tutorial.
Tools and materials:
- 1 clear hair elastic
- Hair brush
- 1 hair tie
- 1 bobby pin
- Comb
1. Make a 3-strand braid in front
Separate a section of hair from the front. Pull it upward.
Make a 3-strand braid.
Once the braid is a few inches long, tie it off with a clear, hair elastic.
2. Join the braid with another section of hair
Pull the braid forward and grab hair from either side of your face, bringing them together at the back.
Use a brush to create 1 smooth section of hair.
Join the braid with this section of hair, tying them together with a hair tie.
I temporarily tied it off as a loop bun, to be undone after step 3.
3. Add texture
Pinch and pull at the sections of the braid to add texture and widen the braid.
4. Wrap the base of the ponytail
Pull out the loop bun, tying just a ponytail. Then take a small section from it and wrap it around the base to cover the hair tie.
Secure the end with a bobby pin.
6. Backcomb
Lift up the tail and backcomb it.
Then split the ponytail to either side and lightly backcomb more of your hair that’s not in the ponytail.
Here’s the final look:

Very nice and you are so pretty. I had never seen anything like this before. Now, if only I wasn't almost 70.
