Christmas is just around the corner, and you may be wondering what’s the perfect makeup look for the best time of year! I’ve got an easy holiday makeup look for you!

In this tutorial, I’m going to show you my favorite holiday eye makeup look. It’s shimmery, vibrant, and so festive! So, grab your brushes and eyeshadow, and let’s get this tutorial underway!

Tools and materials:

  • Primer
  • Foundation
  • Concealer
  • Makeup sponge
  • Bronzer
  • Assorted brushes
  • Scotch tape
  • Various eyeshadows
  • Mascara
  • Blush
  • Highlighter
  • Lip liner
  • Lipstick
Applying primer to the face

1. Apply primer

Apply your favorite primer to your face.

Applying foundation with a sponge

2. Apply foundation

Then, add your favorite foundation. I like to add mine with a makeup sponge.

Applying concealer under the eyes

3. Apply concealer

Apply concealer to your undereye area, the tip of your nose, chin, and the middle of your forehead. Before blending this in, wet your makeup sponge.

Setting under eye makeup with powder

Add powder to your under eyes.

Applying bronzer to the hollows of the cheeks

4. Apply bronzer

Next, add bronzer to the hollows of your cheeks.

Applying tape before eyeshadow

5. Apply eyeshadow

Eyeshadow really goes a long way when it comes to holiday makeup looks. Before applying anything, you can place tape at an angle, to create an easy wing shape.

Eye shadow palette

Applying a light orange eyeshadow color

The first color I'll be using is this pretty light orange shadow. Apply this all over your eyelid.

Applying a darker brown to the outer corners

The second color I’ll be using is this rich, burgundy-like shadow. Apply it to the outer corners of the lid.

Blending eyeshadow colors together

With a clean fluffy brush, blend the two colors together.

Applying gold shimmer to the lid with fingers

Add some gold shimmer to the middle eyelid by patting it on with your finger. Then, using the same fluffy brush, blend everything.

Applying mascara to the upper lashes

6. Define eyelashes

Curl your eyelashes and apply a few thick layers of your favorite mascara.

Applying false lashes to the eyes

Next, add some false lashes for a bolder look.

Applying dark eyeshadow to the lower lashes

Apply the same dark brown eyeshadow on your lower lash line. Use an angled brush for best results. Remove the tape.

Applying blush

7. Add blush

Add a light peach-colored blush to your cheeks.

8. Add more bronzer

Now, add a line of bronzer on the sides of your nose; do this in a straight line starting from the top, right underneath your brows.

Contouring the nose with bronzer

Use your fingers to blend the line.

Applying highlighter to the tops of cheeks

9. Add a highlighter

Using a fan brush, add a little highlighter to the top apples of your cheeks. Also, dab a little with your fingers right above your eyebrows.

Applying red lip liner and lipstick

10. Add lip liner and lipstick

Now, add your favorite lip liner and shade of lipstick. The ultimate holiday makeup looks when you go for the warm, sultry red hues.
