1. Add color corrector
Before we start glamming it up, let’s work at the base, so we have a nice canvas to work with. If you have spots and an uneven skin tone like I do, then go ahead and apply a color corrector to all the areas you’d like to cover up.
Orange color corrector takes care of purple-blue dark circles under the eyes and any dullness in the skin.
2. Add foundation
Now, add your favorite foundation and make sure to blend everything together for a more natural look. I’m using a makeup sponge to dab and pat the foundation evenly.
3. Add concealer
To give your under eyes a brightening effect, go ahead and apply your favorite concealer.
Then, set your concealer with translucent powder.
4. Do your eyebrows
One of my best festive makeup tips is to make sure your eyebrows get a little TLC. Go ahead and fill them in with a color that resembles your hair color.
5. Do the eyes
Apply a light, nude eyeshadow to your eyes.
Tip: For an easy holiday look, the aim is to keep the eyes light and focus on the lips.
Now, I’m using a rose gold eyeshadow stick. You can use this or an eyeshadow, and whatever you have on hand will work. Apply it to your whole mobile eyelid.
Then, for the crease area, go ahead and use a taupe color to add some depth and dimension.
Instead of using eyeliner, add a darker brown eyeshadow to your lower lash line.
Dab a touch of shimmer to the inner corners of your eyes.
No Christmas glam makeup look is complete without beautiful lashes. So, go ahead and curl your lashes.
Add one layer of mascara.
6. Add the finishing touches
While my mascara dries, I decided it would be a good time to add some contour to my cheeks.
Then, with a fluffy brush, wipe off all the excess powders.
Lightly add your favorite bronzer to the sides of your face.
Don’t forget the blush!
Next, use a highlighter on the tip of your nose, inner corner of your eyes and a little just under your eye area, on the sides.
Now that your mascara is dry apply fake eyelashes.
Apply more mascara to bond the lashes and make it look cohesive.
7. Apply lipstick
Get out your favorite red lipstick or lipgloss and apply a generous layer to your lips.
