How to Style Knits for Pre-Fall

My favourite pieces to wear when transitioning from summer to fall are knits! They are the perfect pieces to wear while it's still warmer out and are great for layering over summer styles. Here are some of my favourite ways to style them using pieces that I already own.

For this look I styled a simple knit cardigan over a lighter summer dress as an extra layer to keep myself warmer at night. A simple white cardigan is the perfect way to style a mini dress and would work well with any colour or pattern. This is a very versatile piece to add to your wardrobe and is perfect for layering. You could also tie it over your shoulders or around your waist as another way to style it.

In this next look I styled a pink knit sweater with these cute bubble sleeves with a simple pair of denim. The knit is breathable and great to wear when it's still warm out but a little too chilly to wear a sleeveless top. I added a small clutch in a matching colour but it would also be fun to style with a brighter accessory to add another pop of colour.

This is one of my favourite knit sets to wear at the end of summer. It is a matching cardigan and pants set that I styled with a simple cropped tank underneath. I love wearing a button up cardigan because I can easily remove it if I'm too warm, or throw it back on when I need it. As I mentioned in the first look, you could also tie it around your shoulders or waist. You can style up the look with a pair of heeled sandals, but you could also dress it down with some sneakers as well!
