How to Do a Festive & Glam Holiday Makeup Look Over 50

Today, I am creating a glam holiday makeup look. This look is super soft on the eyes with a bold lip. The lip is going to really bring together the festive holiday vibes for this look.
Tools and materials:
- Face primer
- Eyeshadow primer
- Foundation
- Concealer
- Setting powder
- Eyeshadow palette
- Bronzer
- Blush
- Highlighter palette
- Eyebrow pencil
- Mascara
- Liquid eyeliner
- Lipstick
- Makeup brushes
- Beauty blender
1. Primer
I'm applying a photo-perfecting primer. It really has quite a blurring effect on my skin.
On the top of my cheeks, I'm using a dewy primer. This will add a little bit of glow to the top of my cheeks
For my eyelids, I'm using my eyeshadow primer.
2. Foundation
Using a foundation brush, I'm applying my favorite go-to foundation! I love using products that are ageless. They go on so smoothly and make my skin look so flawless.
Once I apply the foundation with a brush, I like to go over it with a beauty blender to make sure everything is blended smoothly.
3. Concealer
For my concealer, I'm using my favorite blending concealer. It really works well for my skin.
I'm using very little over the darker areas of my skin and tapping it in with my fingers.
When I'm done, I smooth it out with my beauty blender.
4. Set your under eyes
To set my concealer I'm using setting powder. I bake it under my eyes using a brush.
5. Apply the base eyeshadow color
For my eyeshadow, I'm using a classic colors palette. I love palettes that have very simple and classic colors. The neutral colors are just beautiful!
I'm doing a very soft eye so I'm starting with the cream color over both lids.
6. Apply the crease color
For the crease color, I'm using the color truffle,
I'm doing a very light application because I want this look to be soft. I'm bringing the soft brown to the outside third of my lid and blending out using my blending brush.
7. Apply the highlight color
Now, I'm tapping my finger into a rose gold color and putting a very very light application on the outside third of my lid.
Then, I'm going back in with my blending brush to blend it all in.
8. Apply the shimmer color
Next, I'm using a shimmery eyeshadow over my movable lid. This application is going to be heavier than the others. I'm applying this color very softly underneath my eyebrows as well.
9. Bronzer
Next, I'm going back in with my bronzer for some color. I personally love bronzer! It gives your skin a super soft color. I'm working the bronzer through my hairline down to underneath my cheeks and chin.
10. Blush
Next, I'm applying my blush. I'm doing a very light application just to warm my cheeks up a little bit. I'm working this blush through the outside and upstairs area of my cheeks.
11. Highlight
For highlighter, I'm using a gold shimmer shade. Using a tapered brush, I'm applying it to my upper cheekbone.
12. Fill in eyebrows
For my eyebrows, I'm using a brow pencil. It goes on very smoothly.
13. Mascara
Using your mascara of choice, apply the product gently. Be careful not to get any product on your skin.
14. Apply the eyeliner
For eyeliner, I'm using liquid eyeliner. This is actually my first time using liquid liner!
15. Setting powder
Using a brush, I'm dusting on my setting powder. This is for sure my No. 1 makeup product! It gives a beautiful glow to my skin.
16. Lipstick
For my lips, I'm using bright and long-lasting lipstick. This color gives the look such a pop of color!
