Applying moisturizer to the face

1. Prep your skin

Start by smoothing some moisturizer into your face.

Applying bronzer to the skin

2. Bronzer

Next, take some bronzing primer and buff it into the face. This will give you a tiny bit of color as it’s the winter, and it’s also going to help mattify your skin.

Applying foundation with a brush

3. Foundation

Use a buffer brush to apply your foundation. I recommend using two shades of foundation, a lighter shade down the center of your face just to highlight and a little bit of a darker shade to add some color to the rest of your skin.

Building up eyeshadow color

4. Eyeshadow

Use a makeup brush to apply some black eyeshadow just on the mobile lid. Apply it up to the crease and from the inner corner to the outer corner of the eye. Buff over the top of the color that you just applied and work that color up and out to nothing.

Then, repeat the process; take a flat brush with the black and apply that from the inner corner to the outer corner of the mobile eyelid, then work over that again, buffing it out to nothing.

This will create a nice gradient, and it’s also going to work as a good base for a different eyeshadow that you’re going to be applying to the crease area. Proceed to repeat the process a third time over.

Adding other eyeshadow colors

5. Add a second eyeshadow color

Take a highlighter brush and dip it into a bronzer and work that color into the crease. Blend that from the outer corner all the way through the crease to the inner corner.

Next, form a small wing at the outer corner with your flat shader brush and blend that out ever so slightly. This gives you the template shape for your glitter.

Then, with your highlighter brush, work a dark purple eyeshadow just on the outer corner, keeping it most intense at that outer edge and pulling the rest through the socket.

Applying eyeshadow to the lower lash line

6. Shade underneath

Take a pencil brush dipped into a little bit of the black eyeshadow and run that underneath the lower lashes. Work your brush backward and forward to smoke out the product.

As you did on the top lid, take the brush dipped into a dark purple eyeshadow and work that over the top of the black eyeshadow that you’ve just applied underneath your lower lashes. Then highlight the inner corner of your eyes.

Applying gel eyeliner

7. Add eyeliner

Next, take some gel liner and bring it across the waterline and tightline underneath the top lashes.

8. Apply glitter

Put some scotch tape onto the back of your hand just to make it a bit less sticky, and then apply that to some tissue. This will be your makeshift glitter shield.

You can use actual glitter glue or a very small amount of eyelash glue and apply this just to the mobile eyelid where you’ve applied the black. Take your glitter and place that over the top of where you’ve applied the glitter glue.

It’s best to look down in the mirror when you’re doing this. You don’t want to look up and print the glitter all over the top half of your crease or print the glue above, as this will make your eyes sticky.

Then, just peel the tissue off, and there’s no fall down of glitter.

How to do glitter eye makeup

To take the glitter underneath the lower lashes, use exactly the same method as you did on the top lid. Apply a little bit of the glitter glue, and press the glitter onto it underneath the lower lashes.

Applying false eyelashes

9. False lashes

Next, apply some false lashes.

Applying light contour with bronzer

10. Bronzer

Go back to your bronzer and use a fan brush just to add a little bit of contour to the face. Do this very lightly as you’ve got quite intense eyes.

Applying a coral-colored blush

11. Blush

Use a cream blush in a coral shade. It’s quite light, so apply a little bit at a time and then build it up to the desired amount.

Applying a nude lip gloss to balance out eyes

12. Lip gloss

All you need to apply to the lips is a gloss. I would always opt for a nude as we’ve got intense eyes.
