Grab a Lemon for This Beauty Treatment
Whether you're seeking relaxation, rejuvenation, or simply a touch of indulgence, an at-home pedicure offers the perfect solution.
With just a few easy steps, you can transform your tired and neglected feet into soft, nourished, and pampered feet.
Follow along as I walk you through this at-home pedicure process.
Tools and materials:
- Bowls
- Lemon
- Glycerin
- Shampoo
- Foot file
- Cuticle trimmer
- Nail file
- Coffee powder
- Curd
- Spoon
- Towel
1. Prepare foot bath
Pour a large bowl of warm water and then squeeze some lemon in. You can then throw the remainder of the lemon into the water.
Pour in some glycerin. Glycerin draws moisture from the air into the skin, helping to hydrate and soften dry, rough skin on the feet.
Then add a squirt of shampoo. Mix all of the water to disperse the ingredients.
2. Soak feet
Now, soak your feet for 15 minutes.
3. Rub toes with lemon
Take the lemon halves and rub them over your toes.
The natural acids present in lemon juice can help to gently exfoliate the skin on your toes, removing dead skin cells and promoting smoother, softer skin.
Proceed to rub the lemon over the rest of your feet.
4. Remove dead skin
Now, use a foot file to remove dead skin from your feet.
5. Trim cuticles
The next step is to trim your cuticles.
6. File nails
Proceed to file down your toenails.
7. Rub coffee mixture on feet
In another bowl, mix together coffee powder and curd. Then, massage the mixture into your feet for 10 minutes.
8. Wash feet clean
The penultimate step is to wash your feet clean and then dry them off with a towel.
Finish off by painting your nails in your favorite color, and you’re done!
