We are summering so hard over here. We have swimming lessons, summer camps, play dates, getaways – all the fun things planned and running around like crazy. Which leads me to this project. In the summer, a good bag that fits everything you need for all the different activities is a MUST. I love these big collapsible totes that are almost like baskets because they have space for so many things, but are lightweight. I’ve never seen one that I thought was super cute, so our BFF vinyl from ProWorld came in handy yet again. Keep scrolling for the tutorial!
Supplies:
- Collapsible Tote
- Solid Heat Transfer Vinyl
- Holographic Heat Transfer Vinyl
- Yarn
- Wood Beads
Step 1: After cutting your words from the heat transfer vinyl, apply them to the bag following the instructions for the vinyl. If your bag is slightly plastic-y like mine, you will want to be extra careful about the heat setting on your iron so you don’t melt the bag.
Step 2: Remove the vinyl lining, and let cool.
Step 3: Add some beads, tassels, and/or pom-poms to the bag for some extra texture and personality.
Now fill your giant bag with everything you need! Towels, water, food, swimsuits, extra clothes – it will allllllllll fit with room to spare. AND you will be looking so cute carrying it around!
Happy summering!
xo, Sam
