How to DIY a Super Easy Homemade Winter Moisturizer for Dry Skin

In the middle of winter, we’re all ready for some moisturizing! Follow this tutorial if you want to make a homemade moisturizer that will keep your skin hydrated during these cold winter months.
Make and wear this face moisturizer and then head out for some cold-weather fun.
Tools and materials:
- Shea butter (half cup)
- Jojoba oil
- Vitamin E oil
- Small mixing bowl
- Dinner fork
1. Mix the ingredients
Put a half-cup of shea butter into a small bowl. Add a few drops of Jojoba oil and a few drops of Vitamin E oil.
If you don’t have shea butter, you can use coconut oil. But be careful not to use too much because coconut oil can clog your pores.
Combine the ingredients using the back of a fork until it is a nice, blended moisturizer texture.
Feel free to add more Jojoba oil or essential oil for scent, if you wish.
Be aware that lavender oil is quite hard on your skin, and not recommended for pregnant women!
This recipe makes a good amount of moisturizer. You can store this moisturizer in an air-tight jar and it will be good for up to three to six months. You do not need to refrigerate it.
2. Use your winter moisturizer
Warm a bit of moisturizer between your fingertips.
Dab it onto your face.
Then, work the moisturizer into your skin, including your forehead, chin and neck.
A little bit of the moisturizer goes a long way, so if you don’t have half a cup of shea butter, just cut down the recipe. You’ll still have plenty to keep your skin well-hydrated!
This DIY moisturizer is especially good for use at night-time, when you can slather it on and let it begin the hydrating magic while you sleep.
