Super Easy DIY Green Tea Face Scrub
Hi everyone! We have a really cool DIY today. We are going to be making a green tea face scrub!
We're super excited about this. Scrubs are great for tackling all the oils and lotions and makeup on our faces. It’s important not to over-exfoliate the skin but doing a gentle scrub once or twice a week can be really beneficial.
So, without further ado, let’s start making our DIY green tea exfoliator.
Tools and materials:
- Sugar
- Coconut oil
- Green tea
- Aloe vera gel
- Tea tree oil
- Vitamin E oil
1. Gather ingredients for DIY green tea face scrub
First up, you’ll need to round up your ingredients. And you’ll probably have most of these ingredients in your kitchen already!
You’ll need sugar, some coconut oil, some green tea, some aloe vera gel, a little bit of tea tree oil, and a little bit of vitamin E oil.
2. Measure and mix ingredients
We're going to take 1/4 of a cup of sugar, ⅓ of a cup of coconut oil that we already melted, one tablespoon of aloe vera gel, two tea bags worth of green tea, just a few drops of tea tree oil (be careful not to add too much as it can be irritating) and five drops of vitamin E oil.
Mix this all up until it forms a thick, scrub-like consistency.
The nice thing about this green tea face scrub is that it's completely customizable. If you don't like your scrubs on the oilier side, just add less coconut oil. If you want it to be really exfoliating, just add more sugar.
3. Apply the green tea face scrub to the skin
So now we’re going to apply the DIY scrub to our faces.
It feels so great on the skin! I love the smell of the tea tree oil. After we’ve rubbed this in, we’re just going to rinse our faces clean.
You guys can store this in a cool dry place and use it for a few days
before you make your next batch.
