How to draw perfect eyeliner wings

1. Flick the liner to make awing

With a felt tip eyeliner, start in the outer corner of your eye and do a flicking motion in the direction you want the wing. I prefer the felt tip liner over a brush as you have more control.

2. Fill in the rest of the line

Then, halfway from the line you just created, draw a line to the center of your eye and then match it to the inner corner. Fill in. Go back and fix it up and make it a bit sharper if you need to.

3. Repeat

Repeat on your other eye. You can make your wing as thick or as thin as you like. I prefer medium to thinner winged liner.

If you have hooded eyes and your crease comes down lower than mine, I recommend drawing your wing out a bit further than mine. This way when you open your eyes, you still have a wing.

Applying glue to false lashes

4. Apply glue to lashes

For your false lashes, start by adding a bit of glue over the edge of the lashes. Don’t use too much as it can weigh the lash down and it’ll take a lot longer to dry.

5. Apply mascara

While you wait for the glue to become a bit tacky, apply mascara to both eyes. I start at the tip of my eyelashes, first, and then brush it upwards.

Applying mascara to lower lashes

Really focus on the roots of your eyelashes before going ahead to do your lower lash line as well.

6. Apply lashes with tweezers

When the glue starts to turn clear as opposed to white, it’s the perfect time to apply. Use tweezers to apply your lashes to the direct center of your eye. Then press the inner corners down.

Squeeze down your false lashes and your natural lashes together with the tweezers. This will help eliminate any gaps and ensure it’s sitting on your lash line.

Repeat on the other eye.
