What to use to shave your face as a woman

1. Shave the cheek

Clean and dry your face. Don’t moisturize before you start because shaving is a great way to dermaplane your face.

What to use to shave your face as a woman

Use a touch-up razor on your face, not the razor you use on your legs. A touch-up razor helps you focus in a small area. Start with a small area on the side of your face and work in small sections from top to bottom, shaving with the grain, not against it.

How to shave your face

Don’t hold the razor at 90 degrees to your face – keep it angled down so it does a better job picking up your hair and dead skin cells.

Should you shave your face?

Pull your skin taut as you go so you get a nice, clean shave.

Tip: don’t forget to shave right at the top of your cheekbone. Keeping that area smooth will really help your highlighter do its magic.

Shaving the forehead

2. Shave the forehead

Don’t forget your forehead. Even though there may not be much hair there, it is a spot that gets dead skin, and the dermaplaning benefit of shaving will help remove those dead skin cells.

Shaving the chin area

3. Shave the chin

Remember your chin. Shaving takes care of the whisker hairs as well as the peach fuzz.

Shaving under the eyebrows

If you have a little fuzz under your eyebrows, you can shave there as well.

You can shave your whole face about once a week to keep it smooth and do little touch-ups every day as necessary. Once you’re done shaving, you can proceed with your regular skincare routine.

I have to use a regular razor to shave my face. I don’t have peach fuzz but that stubble some of us get when we are over 60. It’s called hirsute so. I need to shave my chin and cheeks everyday. No way I can go a week between shaves. I have had two rounds of laser work and it didn’t help.
