Hello, my loves! As a busy mom who seems to always be on the go, there is nothing I love more than a good claw clip! Seriously, what's not to love about tossing your hair back within seconds and instantly looking like you've just stepped out of a 90's rom-com? Well...how about when it fully detaches from your head and you spend your entire day re-fixing and re-styling the dang thing?!? If you're tired of your clip constantly slipping out of your hair, fear not – I've got a game-changing technique that will keep your 'do in place all day long.

Help keep your hair in place with this highly recommended extra hold hair spray that Amazon reviewers swear by!

All you'll need for this style is a claw clip. (You can check out my favorite set here.) Optionally, you can also use hairspray for additional hold, but it's not necessary.

1) Gather and Twist: Start by gathering your hair as if you're going to style a ponytail. Then, twist all of your hair together to create a sleek and secure base for your clip.

2) Wrap and Tuck: Next, take your twisted hair and wrap it fully around the claw clip. Make sure to cover the entire clip with your hair for maximum hold. Once your hair is wrapped around the clip, tuck the ends underneath the clip to lock them in place.

If you have shorter or layered hair (like mine) some ends might fall over the top of the clip. This is totally ok and will not prevent the style from holding! You can simply sweep them to the side and tuck them inside the clip if you like. Personally, I like the sort of ponytail effect the loose ends give, so I just let 'em hang!

3) Secure and Slay: Finally, close the claw clip at the base of your crown, ensuring it's tight enough to hold your hair securely in place without pulling or tugging. If you want, you can also give your hair a quick spritz with some hairspray, but it's not necessary to keep this style in place. Voila! You're ready to rock your flawless 'do all day long.

With this simple yet effective technique, you'll never have to worry about your claw clip slipping out of place again. Whether you're running errands, hitting the gym, or dancing the night away, your hair will stay put and look fabulous no matter what.

So, next time you reach for your trusty claw clip, remember these tips and rock your hairstyle with confidence. Happy styling, lovelies!

Good idea! I love these clips and have been using them for many, many years. I do this same thing. The hairspray is the "secret" and keeps your hair smoother and neater. This also works for shorter hair.

If you start the twist higher on your head you can comb a little setting lotion and hairspray through if you have the time to let it dry (or use a hairdryer) and twist your hair all the way to the end, securing it with a clip or two and after it dries, it gives your hair body, volume and a little bit of curl if you would like to wear your hair down. 🙃

Sitting in my recliner or high back chair, nope; hair clip digs into your head.
