I love custom jewelry, so why not make some!

Have you ever gotten a geode? I was some where in the midwest and broke one open which was a fun experience. I have had it lying around ever since and decided to make something!

Using 18 gauge wire, I made a loop for the elastic and then wrapped it around the stone.

I feel like this doesn't have to be perfect. I usually just try to follow the shape of the stone.

Here are two examples from both sides.

I think this one came out very interesting.

Then looping elastic on either side of the wrapped stone, I beaded a bracelet and tied off the end.

I feel like it came out very interesting and is pretty easy to do even though it might seem more involved then it really is.

You end up with a one of a kind piece!

Chunky bracelets are very popular right now and this one is a great addition!

You can do this with a smooth stone as well, you just need to wrap it with more metal.

This is beautiful! I haven't done any beading in forever, but hope to now that winter is coming. I am confused on one point, though. You mentioned 18 gauge wire, then elastic. Where are both of them used, and how are they connected? I am pretty new to all crafting so this may seem obvious, but not to me. Thank you! I will love adding a new bracelet to my jewelry collection! 🕊️🌈✌️🌻💜😊

The wire was used around the stone since it did not have a hole. I basically created a little cage for it then used the elastic for the beads. Hope that helps :-)

Hi, Berta! Thank you for getting back to me! I have a question maybe you could help me with? I keep saving recipes and projects on my phone, but I can't find them! When I hit the save link, it says saved to my projects or saved to my recipes, but I have looked everywhere I can think of, Pinterest, Etsy, my files, and nothing. I'm wanting to do some of these! Any info will be appreciated! Thank you! 🌈😊✌️🕊️🌻💜
