One of the changes I made at the end of 2020 was to make self care a priority in 2021. To me, self care is making and holding promises to myself— and the biggest promise I’ve broken to myself consistently over the years has been the commitment to wake up early and workout. For many years I would go to bed with the intention of waking up early the next morning and exercising, but when the early morning alarm rang, I found every excuse in the book to hit the snooze button and skip my a.m. workout.
My 2021 resolution was to hold myself accountable and to keep my promise to start the day off right by moving my body. And this year I’ve kept my resolution!! I actually took my 100th class at my local F45 gym today!!!! This milestone means so much more to me than just an impressive class number— it is proof that I can keep a promise to myself and that self care will always be a top priority of mine!
