How to Stay Chic When It's COLD

Brrr! January and February have got to be my least favourite months. So so cold, and yet no Christmas to look forward to!

However I do love winter fashion and here are a few tips for how you can stay chic and stylish without sacrificing comfort and warmth.

Bobble hats are so cute and classic with so many affordable options. This black bobble hat is from Primark so as you can imagine did not break the bank one bit. Hats are a fantastic way to keep warm in winter - when I was growing up, my mum always told me, 'If your head's warm, the rest of you will be warm!' I don't know how true that is but I definitely feel cosier with a hat on in winter.

Of course a pair of gloves is a hugely important accessory when it's cold. I've been amazed how warm these cashmere gloves have been keeping me. Cashmere is just like magic when it comes to locking in heat!

Cashmere doesn't have to be expensive either - I picked up these gloves from eBay for a low price and have worn them countless times so they were worth every penny.

Monochromatic outfits always look stylish and even though we're only in the early part of 2021, monochrome is already a huge fashion trend this year. This can mean black and white, one colour worn head-to-toe or a tonal neutral look. Wearing black actually can help to keep you warm so tick off the monochrome trend while staying extra toasty and wear an all-black look!

Finally, here's how to fast-track yourself to a stylish outfit: grab yourself a cape. Capes are so statement and yet so timeless at the same time that you don't even have to spend a lot of money on them for them to look luxurious. It's basically like being wrapped up in a big blanket - but an extra chic blanket with faux fur trim.
