I decided to style neutral outfits for spring and summer. We all have those neutral staple pieces in our wardrobes, but sometimes the easiest pieces can be the hardest to be inspired by, and as a result, we’re not sure what to wear them with. I’m here to give you some ideas for neutral outfits that are stylish and easy to throw together .

Neutral color outfits

Blazer

This is a pretty casual, laid-back outfit but still chic and cool. We all have sweatpants in our wardrobe, and a great way to dress up sweatpants is with a blazer and a crop top. The blazer instantly elevates whatever you wear it with. Add a pair of interesting, dressy shoes and a clutch bag, and you’re ready to go.

White pants

For this outfit, I decided to go with a pair of white pants as the focal point for the look, but I also added color and an exciting print with the scarf draped around my neck. The leopard print shoes add another sneak peek of character, and the square shades are the perfect stylish accompaniment to the look.

How to style neutral outfits

Leopard print

This is another casual look that I dressed up with my smart pointy-toe shoes and accessories. I love the shorts with the top, and the oversized leopard shirt adds a funky twist.

Dress pants

Here we have a dressier look, which is a great outfit for work. I’ve paired brown slacks with a brown blazer in a darker tone. The knitted top provides a contrast of texture to keep the outfit looking fresh. A clutch, some bauble earrings, and sunglasses add a stylish finish.

Biker shorts

This is another casual look, again dressed up with some winning accessories. I’m wearing some biker shorts with an oversized tee and a fanny pack around the waist to bring in the silhouette and make the outfit more feminine. This is an excellent example of how you can effortlessly transition an outfit from something you might wear to go jogging, to a stylish athleisure look.

Easy neutral outfit style

Tie-dye

Love it or hate it, tie-dye is set to stay for the near future. I’m wearing a cropped black two-piece with beige tones. I’ve added a baseball cap, some chunky white sneakers, and a little leather backpack to create a put-together look.

Feminine

Last but not least, a dressier look. This is my ideal date look, the tight dress is a little sexy, and the blazer adds an edgy vibe. This outfit has the perfect mix of feminine allure and high-end fashion all rolled up in one. Add a smart leather bag and a pair of neutral heels, and that table for two in a restaurant is waiting for you.

That’s a wrap—seven stylish outfits using simple, neutral pieces. I’ve shown you that neutral doesn’t have to mean bland. You can easily add color and character with your shoes and accessories, and also add interest with the textures you wear and the silhouette you create. The most important thing is not to get dressed in the dark. Be deliberate about the pieces and accessories you choose and you’ll be good to go.
