I’m going to show you guys how to make a gorgeous and classy pearl bracelet watch. If you have an old watch with a band you don’t like, this is the perfect DIY for you.

Alternatively, you can pick up a cheap second-hand watch from a thrift store. You can give new life to any old watch with this trick.

Tools and materials:

  • Old watch
  • Pearl beads
  • Clear stretchy jewelry string
  • Scissors
Cutting watch band off

1. Cut

Cut off the old band from your watch. This will work for leather or plastic. If you have a metal band you might need to detach the band by unscrewing it.

Adding pearl beads to the watch

2. Bead and thread

Grab some clear stretchy jewelry-making string and some pearl beads. Knot the end and put half of the pearls on.

Then thread the string through the band holders on the face of the watch and put on the rest of the pearls.

Snipping the thread

3. Finish and wear

Tie the ends of the strings together, cut the extra string, and you’re all set. Slip the watch bracelet on your wrist and admire your new watch.
