Update your old heels for NYE! Give your heels a glamorous makeover and dance into the new year with style!
With a few supplies and a bit of artistic flair, you'll be amazed at how a simple transformation can make a big impact.
Tools and materials:
- Old heels
- Strong glue (E6000 or a similar adhesive)
- Fabric of your choice
- Sponge brush
- Scissors
1. Prep
Select a fabric that resonates with your style.
Make sure the fabric is large enough to cover the entire surface of your heels.
Clean your old heels thoroughly to remove any dirt or residue that might affect the adhesion of the fabric.
2. Apply glue
Using a sponge brush, apply a generous amount of strong glue to a small section of the shoe.
Work on one part at a time to prevent the glue from drying before you can attach the fabric.
3. Attach fabric
Place the fabric onto the glued section and press it firmly, smoothing out any wrinkles or bubbles.
Hold the fabric in place for a few seconds to secure it.
Continue this process, applying glue and attaching fabric until the entire shoe is covered.
Trim the excess fabric leaving a ¼ inch to tuck into the shoe. Tuck and glue the fabric into the shoe along the edges for a neat finish.
Repeat the process on the second shoe.
