Hi everyone. Today, I have a trendy smoky blue eyeshadow tutorial for you. This look is really beautiful, so let’s get started!

Tools and materials:

  • Eyeshadow primer
  • Dark blue eyeshadows
  • Eyeshadow brushes
  • Tissue (optional)
  • Black eye pencil
  • Highlighter
  • Eyelash curler
  • Mascara
  • False eyelashes (optional)
Applying an eyeshadow primer

1. Apply an eyeshadow primer

Start off this look by going in with an eyeshadow primer.

This will help to bring out the colors of the eyeshadow, making them nice and vibrant. The primer also helps the eyeshadow look last longer.

Applying black eyeliner to the lid

2. Apply black eyeliner to the lid

Next, I’m taking a black eyeliner and applying that all over the lids to create a black base for the eyeshadow to sit on. I’m using my finger to blend it out.

Applying blue eyeshadow

3. Apply blue eyeshadow

Now it’s time to go in with the blue eyeshadow. I like to place a tissue below my eye to help avoid fallout, then I’m going in with a dark blue color and sweeping that over the black base.

Then, I'll go in with a slightly lighter blue and apply that over the top.

Blending

4. Blend

With a clean and fluffy blending brush, I’m just going to blend out the edges.

Blending

Then, to help blend the eyeshadow more, I'll go in with some compact powder and sweep it along my brow bone.

Applying eyeshadow to bottom lash line

5. Apply the lighter blue eyeshadow to the bottom lash line

Make sure to connect it to your upper lash line, then blend it out and go in with the darker blue eyeshadow, directly beneath your lower eyelashes.

Highlighting tear duct area

6. Highlight the tear duct area and lower lash line

Tightlining

7. Tightline the upper waterline with a black eye pencil

Lining half of the lower waterline

8. Line half of the lower waterline

Applying mascara

9. Apply mascara

Curl your eyelashes then apply mascara. If you like the look of false eyelashes, you can also add these now.

Applying concealer

10. Apply concealer

Apply concealer under your eyes to clean up any fallout that might have made it past the tissue.
