Trend Prediction: Three Colours to Wear This Spring

I know it's still winter, but I'm dreaming of the warmer days and fresh flowers that spring brings along! It's one of my favourite seasons because bright and fun colours and patterns start appearing in fashion. I've been keeping my eyes peels on the latest trends and have noticed that three colours seem to be leading the way for the Spring 2024 season. Follow along as I show you these colours and ways that I would style them.

First up is pastel yellow. This is a colour that I don't usually lean towards and I don't know why, because it's such a fun colour to work with. It's light and easy to match with many other colours, but also pairs very well with neutrals and metallics like gold and silver. A simple monochromatic dress with white accessories is the look that I put together for this example and I feel like the white contrasted very well against this particular shade to make it stand out. This colour is great if you're not wanting to wear a super bold shade and I highly recommend having a pastel yellow piece in your wardrobe this season. Here's a link to a similar dress to the one I'm wearing above.

Next we have navy blue. This colour is usually reserved for darker tending seasons like fall and winter, but it's all over the runways and in stores for spring. Instead of wearing your typical neutrals like black, brown, and grey, opt for a striking shade of navy blue instead. I love the pairing of navy blue and silver together, and that's exactly the combo that I chose for this going out look ( link to the dress; link to the silver bag). Navy looks beautiful when worn with warm shades of red and pink, so try pairing those the next time you're stumped on what to wear. I also think that a nice navy knit sweater (here's an example of one that I've been eyeing up!) with a pair of your favourite denim will always hit the right spot.

Finally we have my favourite, pink! I think that pink is a classic spring shade so it's no surprise that it will be trending again this year. Pink is very versatile and there are so many shades to work with. I personally am a pastel lover, so this monochromatic set of a tube top and matching trousers is already a staple in my closet. This look is something that I reach for on an evening out or an afternoon on the town with a swap for a comfier and more casual pair of shoes. I also love pops of bright pink in my makeup (for example, here's me trying a new lipstick in the perfect pink) and there are so many new products launching now that have vibrant pinks right now.
