Succulent Bath Salts
These adorable succulent bath salts are colored salt with a bath melt succulent on top. To use, just dump into the water. The salts dissolve and the bath melt melts to moisturize your skin. These make perfect gifts, and you can make several of them at once. This recipe makes two cups, but you can easily double it.
I used natural mica to color the salts and the bath melt. I dusted the mold with mica to give the succulents more dimension and color. I really like how it turned out! For more tips and why I used each ingredient, refer to my blog post.
For the bath melts, you'll need 0.7 oz cocoa butter, 0.35 oz shea butter, 0.35 oz emulsifying wax, 8 drops ho wood essential oil, 12 drops lemon essential oil, mica, and this cute succulent mold.
Melt and butters and emulsifying wax in a double boiler. Add green mica and essential oils. Stir well for one minute.
To make the bath salts, you'll need 1 cup large grain sea salt, 1 cup magnesium flakes, 2 ml polysorbate 80, 40 drops lemon essential oil, 20 drops ho wood essential oil, and mica. I used pink, purple, and white.
Place 1/2 cup of each salt in a bowl. Add half of the polysorbate and essential oils to each bowl. Stir well.
Place 1/2 cup of each salt in a bowl. Add 1/8 teaspoon mica and stir well. Add more mica if necessary. Add some white for a little depth.
Then fill clear cups with the salts.
When the bath melts are cooled, carefully unmold them and place on top of the salts.

What a fantastic gift idea! They are beautiful. Where would I get the magnesium flakes, polysorbate 80 & the essential oils for this project? Can I get the other needed things at someplace like Hobby Lobby?
