This is the Easiest Way to Get the Rope Braid Look
A rope braid is created with two strands of hair, unlike a classic braid which uses three.
Maybe you haven’t heard of this type of braid before, or maybe you have, but you’re not sure how to create it.
In this tutorial, I’m going to show you how you can create a rope braid. Let’s get started!
Tools and materials:
- Hair tie
1. Split hair
First, tie your hair into a low ponytail and split the hair in half.
I wrapped some hair around the elastic in order to conceal it. You can do this too if you like or just go with a regular ponytail.
2. Twist each section
Proceed to twist each section.
3. Twist sections together
Now twist the two sections around one another until you get close to the bottom of your hair. Then tie the bottom with an elastic.

And here is the finished rope braid look!
A rope braid makes a really nice difference to a three-strand or four-strand braid. It shakes things up a bit and adds some variety to your hairstyles.
I also like how chunky the braid is - it really does feel just like a rope.
