DIY Fix for Tank Top With Fall-Off-The-Shoulder Straps...So Sew Easy!
This Black Square Neckline Crepe Tank is Classy...So Very Wearable...and a Great Price...BUT...the Shoulder Straps are Way Too Long and Constantly Fall Off My Shoulders With the Slightest Bit of Movement...A Totally Uncomfortable Tank to Wear...
Is this a Toss??? NO!!
Here is the So Sew Simple Easy Fix...Done In Less than 10 Minutes...
Ready??? Let's Go!!
First...Try on the Tank and Pull Up on the Straps to Measure Where You Want the Neckline to Fall...Pin to Mark on the Straps...
Make Sure that the Straps are Even and the Sew Line Matches Both Straps.
Next...With Right Sides Together, Sew Across the Marked Spot on Each of the Straps.
Here is the Extra Fabric of the Strap...
Fold It Flat to Lay it Smoothly...towards either the Front or Back of the Tank...
Now, Sew the Extra Strap Fabric Down so it Lays Flat...
Here is the Underside of the Strap...
And the Outside of the Strap...The Extra Fabric almost disappears...
That's It!!! Done!!!
Now for the Try-On...
Perfect...The Straps are now the Correct Length for No-Fuss, Easy Wear..
And the Oh So Annoying Constant Pushing Up of the Straps...is History!
With a Little Bit of So Sew Simple Sewing, this Strappy Tank is Comfortable to Wear with Full Coverage...
Ready to Take On the Day...Perfect!

Love this idea, I have a summer dress I can do this to. Thanks for sharing.
Love the fact that there is no need to cut the fabric or finish off any edges!
