Cute Topsy Tail Tool Hairstyle Tutorial

Tools and materials:

• Topsy Tail tool
• Brush
• Bobby pins
• Clear hair ties
• Hair clips

1. Put your hair in sections

Separate sides of your hair from the back. Leave the back of your hair, and clip the sections at the sides.

2. Make a bun

You’re going to make a bun with the back section of your hair.

To do this just pull it through once, pull it through again, and the third time pull it halfway through to create a bun with some ends sticking out. 

3. Tease the ends

Take the end pieces sticking out of your bun and tease them a little bit.

Not too much, because you don’t want to damage your hair. Just enough to create some volume and texture.

Now take the teased ends and stretch them over the bun.

When you spread the ends over the bun there will be some hair left under the bun. Just tie that off with a clear elastic and tuck it under the bun.

Now you need to bobby pin everything, so just tuck the bun and push those ends up under the bun and pin them in place with a bobby pin.

If you have really long hair like me, you can twist the extra ends and tie them around the bun and just continue to bobby pin everything in place.

4. Insert Topsy Tail tool

Insert your Topsy Tail tool on the left of your head.

Take the right section and pull it through the Topsy Tail. Pull on the end of the tool to pull it through.

Take the ends that are hanging out, wrap them around the bun and bobby pin them in place.

Now repeat these steps on the other side.

Take your Topsy Tail tool and insert it on the right. Take the left section and loop it through the Topsy Tail. Pull the Topsy Tail through.

Now take the ends, wrap them around the bun and bobby pin them in place.

5. Cover the bobby pins

Take the hair from the sides of your head and just pull them down gently to cover the bobby pins.

This will also give your hair an elegant draping effect. You can insert some more bobby pins to make sure everything is nice and secure.

I love that this hairdo is very elegant. I would wear my hair like this to an office party or even a dinner party. This is definitely a hairstyle worthy of a very fancy occasion.

What’s great about this look is that it sits in this loose, kind of effortless looking way, but everything is staying nice and secure.
