4 Casual Christmas Outfits With Sweaters That Are Cozy, Comfy & Chic

1. In the pink

I love the way pink looks against black. It's a sophisticated, cool-toned combination that is perfect for winter. Here, I’ve paired this cozy knitted sweater that has a balloon sleeve detail with a black faux leather mini skirt.

I like to do a front tuck, where I simply tuck the front of the sweater in to add even more style to the outfit. Though it is just a sweater and skirt, the texture and the little details add so much flair!

Black over-the-knee boots instantly dress up this look! It is still the classic sweater and skirt combo, but with a lot of style!

To finish the look, I’m adding a black quilted bag with a chain detail. If going out in the cold weather, I’ll add a black pea coat.

Here, I'm pairing black distressed jeans with my favorite cream sweater. I love cream because it literally goes with everything! This look is a classic.

Whenever you wear a classic combination, you can always add colorful or printed accessories to brighten and liven the look. I’m adding snake print booties!

These add a pop of print and that trendy touch. Then, I add a black bag with gold accents. For cold weather, I love the way a red pea coat adds another pop of bright color. 

3. Brighten the day

For this look, I start with the true basics: black leggings and a black tank top. It doesn’t get more basic than that! You could always wear a printed legging to liven the look for casual holiday dressing. 

I’m adding a bright pop of sunshine with this yellow cardigan-style sweater. I love the way a fitted sweater looks, so I’m adding a black belt with gold accents. Tucking the cardigan out around the belt gives it so much more style!

To really amp up the style and take this casual to a holiday party, I’m wearing these gold pumps. They add so much to make this casual outfit look much more festive.

You could always wear black shoes or boots but the gold really adds that Christmas touch. Finish this look with a black clutch.

4. Mad for plaid

Here, I’m pairing a plaid V-neck cropped sweater with a caramel faux leather mini skirt. This combination is so beautiful and elegant. 

I’m adding some hosiery to give it that festive wintery touch.

I’m also wearing these dramatic evening two-toned sandals with the subtle gold detail in the front.

These little glitzy details elevate the casual look and make it perfect for the holidays! For cold or wet weather, these shoes wouldn’t be practical, so you could definitely wear a pair of black ankle booties. Throw on a black pea coat for chilly weather.
