4 Easy Ways to Style a Shacket
What is a shacket you might wonder? You have probably seen lots of hype around this piece of clothing that sounds like a jacket but doesn’t really look like it. So what is this shacket? Well, a shacket is an oversized shirt made out of thick wool-type material. Shackets have long sleeves, buttons and no zipper. Essentially they are a hybrid between a shirt and a jacket. Most of the shackets are plaid pattern.
Many people are puzzled as to how to style a shacket. Which is why I’ve decided to write a blog post and show how I’ve styled a shacket. You can shop your own closet for most of these pieces. Or perhaps I will inspire you to be creative and style it however you like. The choice is yours.
#1 Tee & Jeans
Super classic way to style a shacket is with a tee, jeans and sneakers. This combo is perfect for the chilly days when you need a little something to keep you warm, but when sun is out, you can just leave your tee. I styled this wool shacket with a cropped top, which is a great option as well.
#2 Sweater dress
Who says you can’t experiment and wear your shacket with a sweater dress? Nobody. I styled this beige shacket with a cable knit sweater dress and hiking boots for a casual and comfy look. Feel free to elevate the look with tall or over-the-knee boots or heels.
#3 Lounge Jogger set
This year is all about comfortable, stretchy, soft and warm. There are lots of jogger sets that you can easily wear out. Like this “Be Kind” jogger set I am wearing in the pictures above. I absolutely adore this set. It’s very soft, super flattering and comes in a few colors. It’s easy to style with a cream shacket and sneakers. Run errands, go to the park with your kids, ride a bike, take a stroll in the city, meet your friends for lunch at a local café.. the possibilities are endless.

Leggings are like cereal, you can always rely on them, haha. But seriously, there’s practically nothing you can’t wear with leggings.. Well, maybe a wedding dress? Shackets can be easily transformed into “a workout gear”. Or more like after-workout gear. We all know the secret – not everyone wears leggings to work out. So feel free to wear this look out and about.
