Turn your plain sneakers into this fashion statement for a fraction of the price! Perfect for back to school or anyone who wants to add some sparkle to their life.
Gather your supplies:
- Pair of sneakers (new or old)
- Mod Podge
- Sponge brush
- Glitter
- Painters tape
Take out the laces from your shoes and cover any areas you don't want painted with tape.
Mix together your Mod Podge and glitter. The more glitter you use, the more glittery your shoes ;)
Paint a layer of glitter on your sneakers. Let them dry and paint a second layer.
Continuing this process until they are the perfect amount of sparkle for you.
And voila! Just like that you have a fabulous pair of sneakers!

I feel that the glitter will start immediately coming off and especially be falling all over the carpet. All glitter does not stick tight without some coming off immediately and for a long time until you cannot see it anymore.
Do the shoes get hard with modge podge on them?
I wouldn't have done the edges of the soles.
It would have made it look more finishes.
Nope … not trying it. I don’t want clumps of modpodge and glitter on the floor for my dog to eat
