In this tutorial, I’m going to show you eight different ways to style a silk headscarf. Whether you want to wear your hair down or have it tied up, and whether you want the scarf to completely, partially, or minimally cover your hair, there is a headscarf style out there that will work for you. Let’s get started with the first look:

Look 1

Fold your scarf in half to create a triangle, and then wrap it around your head, tying a knot at the back. You’ve got a gorgeous boho-chic look.

Roll the scarf, place it under your hair, bring it up to the top, and then wrap it round to the bottom again before tying in a knot. Here you get the best of both, a scarf and a headband all in one.

Look 3

Tie your hair up in a high ponytail. Roll the scarf up, wrap it around the ponytail and then tie a knot. This is a beautiful look where you have the scarf cascading down your hair.

Look 4

Fancy an updo style? Tie your hair in a high bun and wrap the scarf around your hair, tying at the end.

Look 5

To achieve this look, do your hair in a braid and then thread the scarf through. This requires a bit more effort than the other looks, but the result is totally worth it.

Look 6

Here you need to tie some of your hair in a high bun and leave the rest down for this look. Then simply wrap the scarf around your bun and tie it up. Magnifique!

Look 7

Start by tying your hair in a low bun. Fold the scarf in half to make a triangle shape and tie it under your bun with the triangle point remaining on top. Proceed to bring up the ties from under the bun, wrap them around the bun, incorporating the triangle point, and tie them up beneath the bun again. A great look if you want the scarf to cover lots of your hair.

Channel your inner Audrey Hepburn with this look! Fold the scarf in half to create a triangle, bring the hanging sides across each other under your chin and then tie at the back.

That’s a wrap! (Get it?) Eight different ways that you can style your headscarf. A headscarf is a great hair accessory, so if you haven’t worn one before, why not give it a go! I love each and every one of these looks, which is your favorite?
