Today, I want to show you my 10-minute makeup routine.

This is for when you haven't got much time to get out of the door, you've got 10 minutes you want to put your makeup on, and you're probably multi-tasking.

It's nice to be able just to put on your makeup quickly and feel like you are ready for the day.

The makeup I'm using today is from the Look Fabulous Forever Range, made specifically for mature skin. However, you can achieve the same results with any brand of makeup.

Prepped face

1. Prep face

Prepare your face by cleansing it and putting on some face cream.

Then put on some face primer all over your face, and put some eye primer onto your eyelids and blend it in.

I also put on some lip primer along the outer edges of my lips to stop my lipstick from bleeding.

Clip your hair back so that it is out of the way when you apply your makeup.

Applying foundation

2. Apply foundation

The first product to apply is foundation, and I like to use this mixed with a squirt of face prime.

Put the two just on the back of your hand, use a foundation brush to mix them together, and put it all over your face.

Even if I've just got 10 minutes, for me, putting foundation on and creating a really sort of flawless base or canvas for my face is important because it evens out everything.

As I've got older, my face is not as even. I've got some spots, age spots little, and red patches. So, for me, a foundation that is light and not cakey is really important.

Make sure to get the base right and blend it well because then everything else that you do will really work well.

Applying eyeshadow

3. Eyeshadow

For eyes, I'm going to use a warm brown eyeshadow trio.

I am going to start off with the cream, which is the lightest shade, and put it all over my eyelids.

This will even out your eyes and make them look light and fresh.

Applying eyeshadow

Then I'm going to use the second color, which is cocoa, in my socket line.

So I'm just going to apply it just above the socket line in a sort of windscreen wiper motion. This creates a little bit of depth and to lift my eyes.

This is an easy way to shape your eyes without too much hassle.

Applying eyeshadow

Next, I’m going to go in with the third color - chocolate.

I’m going to apply it on my upper lash line with a wedge brush, just like eyeliner. This will make my lashes look thicker.

You can either just do the top, or you can do the bottom as well. I like to do the bottom as well to define my eyes even more. It gives the effect of eyeliner but is slightly softer.

Applying brow definer

4. Brow definer

Next up, I’m using some brow definer in a color that matches my brows. This fills in any gaps.

Adding mascara

5. Mascara

Now I’m wiggling through some mascara from the base of my lashes.

I love the effects of mascara, and this hasn't got any little clumpy filaments in it. I have very fair lashes, and this gives them some definition.

Adding blush

6. Blush

To give my face some color, I'm going to use a beautiful peach cream blusher.

I like to put it on with my finger and sweep it up in a teardrop shape. This is very flattering on older skin. It doesn’t sit on the skin but blends in very well.

Lining lips

7. Lipstick

I'm going to outline my lips with a lip liner and fill them in.

Then, I’m going to use some lipstick in a lovely warm shade that has a slight sheen.

There we go, we have an everyday makeup routine for older skin that only takes 10 minutes.

You can see that my eyelashes and eyebrows now have more definition, my lips have more color, and my skin looks brighter and more youthful.
