A Simple Braided Bun Tutorial
Here’s a simple braided bun hairstyle that you can do in a few minutes. I added clip-in extensions to the braids, but it also works without them.
Tools and materials:
- Clip-in extensions (optional)
- 2 small hair ties
- 1 large hair tie
- Curling iron (optional)
1. Braid
Make two thick braids on one side of your hair towards the front, leaving a small section of hair free at the front.
Secure the braids with hair ties.
2. Ponytail
Gather the braids and rest of your hair into a low ponytail.
Wrap the large hair tie around the whole ponytail once.
3. Bun
Twist the tie and start to draw the rest of the hair through it.
Stop before the braids are completely through the tie.
4. Ends
Take the free ends and bring them up, over and under the bun.
Push the ends through the base of the ponytail.
5. Wrap
Wrap the ends over the top of the bun and tuck them into the side.
6. Curl
Optionally, curl the two front pieces of your hair.

You can make the bun as elegant or messy as you like and leave more or less of the braids showing.
It’s an easy, versatile style you can wear anywhere.
