5 Easy & Cute Ways You Can Wear a Scarf as a Belt
In today’s tutorial, you’ll see a few ways to wear your silk square scarf as a belt, plus a few tips for how to make your waist look smaller. Whether you want to know how to wear a scarf as a belt or you’ve already been using a scarf as a belt and just want some styling ideas, this tutorial is for you! Let’s get started.
For this scarf belt tutorial, I'm using a silk Hermes scarf Couleurs de Masala 35” x 35” (90 x 90cm).
1. Simple belt
To achieve this style, all you have to do is fold your scarf into a thin, belt-like shape and tie it in a double knot around your waist. This style looks great with jeans!
2. Knotted bracelet belt
For this one, you’re going to need a bracelet. Tie the ends of the scarf to opposite ends of the bracelet, making sure that the ends are pointing downwards. That's it!
Tip: When wearing a scarf as a belt, I always place the knot at the side instead of in the center. To make the waistline look slimmer, lower the bracelet/knot a bit to break the horizontal line.
3. Beautiful buckle
This time, start by tying one end of the scarf to the bracelet.
Then wrap the scarf around your waist
Tie a knot with the other end, so you have a loose piece.
Fold the remaining fabric up and behind the bracelet, then through the middle at the back.
Tuck in the end and you have a makeshift buckle!
4. One end longer
If the buckle isn’t your style, you can just leave the knot as it is.
5. Tucked in
Alternatively, instead of tucking the longer end into the bracelet, you can drape the piece across and tuck the sides into the belt, as shown.

I love this idea especially since I have beautiful scarves and bracelets that are much too small to fit over my hands that I have no clue what to do with! Thank you for sharing your idea.
Really cute! So many options using different colored scarves.
