Best At-home Pedicure Hacks: Easy Spring Pedicure Tutorial
Hi everyone! Today, we’re doing a spring-time pedicure.
I’ve already gone ahead and removed my old nail polish and now I’m ready to show you how to pull off the perfect pedicure for the start of the warmer season.
Stay tuned for the best at-home pedicure hacks!
Best foot cream!
Tools and materials:
- Foot file
- Emery board
- Cuticle oil
- Cuticle pusher
- Foot lotion
- Base coat
- Nail polish in a color of your choice
- Top coat
- Toe separators
1. File your feet
I’ll be going in with the Brio SilkStone foot file to remove the dead skin and rough patches on my feet.
This tool is great, but if you don’t have an electric foot file, you can easily use a regular foot file instead.
2. File your toenails
Next up, you're going to want to file your toenails into a flattering shape using an emery board.
I’m shaping mine into a squoval shape as I don’t want the corners to be too sharp, but I also don’t want the nails to look too round.
Once you’re finished filing your toenails, brush off any dust.
3. Push the cuticles back
Apply cuticle oil to the toenails, then gently push the cuticles back with a cuticle pusher.
4. Apply foot lotion to the feet
5. Use acetone to remove any oil or lotion from the toenails
6. Apply nail polish
First go in with a base coat. This will help your pedicure to last for longer. Then, go in with a nail polish color of your choice.
I went for a very light and pretty pink color. I applied three coats of this, although you might find that you don’t need to do this many!
Make sure you allow each coat of polish to dry properly before going in with the next. Then, add a top coat.
