Classic and Easy Black Winged Eyeliner Tutorial
Hi everyone! Today, I'm going to show you how to create the perfect black winged eyeliner. I’m going to use an eyeliner by L’Oréal, but any will do!
So grab your favorite gel eyeliner and any eyeliner brush that you feel comfortable with, and let’s get started.
Tools and materials:
- Gel eyeliner and brush
- Liquid eyeliner
- Eyelash curler
- Mascara
1. Line the upper lash line
So, to start, I'm drawing a thin line on my upper lash line, just following
the natural shape of my eye.
You can create a thicker or thinner line, depending on personal choice. Today, I’m sticking to a medium line.
Then, I stop at the outer corner of my eye.
2. Create the flick
Now, it's time to create that flick. I use the natural curve of my lower
lash line and the end of my eyebrow as a guide.
Then, I just draw a slight flick and once that's done all, connect that line to the previous line and then just fill in any gaps in between. If you need to, smooth it out slightly.
3. Fill in any gaps
Once I'm happy with the line, I go ahead and tight line my upper lash line and fill in any gaps between my eyelashes.
This helps to intensify the eyeliner look and it also makes the lashes appear fuller.
4. Add liquid liner
Once that's done, I like to go over the line with a liquid eyeliner. This intensifies the blackness of the liner and helps it to last longer.
5. Repeat
Then, I repeat the whole process on my other eye, trying to make them look as similar as possible.
6. Add mascara
Lastly, I just curl my lashes and then apply mascara to both my upper and lower lashes.
