Tools and materials:
- Button-down top
- Fabric scissors
- Crochet needle and white crochet yarn
- Sewing needle and white thread
- Seashells
- Ribbons
- Beads
1. Chop off the sleeves
This basic top is basically fine as it is, but its fate has reached my hands so...start by cutting off the sleeves of your button-down top.
You can start by cutting imprecisely and then rip off the rest of the sleeve.
The chop can be as neat as you want…or not!
2. Freehand crochet 2 sleeves
Use some white yarn and make a freehand crochet design.
Crochet a bunch of connected shapes, and remember—imperfection is key here!
Ultimately, connect the shapes to create 2 sleeves.
3. Attach the crocheted sleeves
Use a white thread and sewing needle to attach the sleeves at the openings.
4. Add coastal grandma charm
Tie on small bows and attach seashells for some coastal grandma details.
You can glue beads under the shells and tie those to the sleeves in different places with thread.
