Black Jeans for Fall

Now, if you're like many friends I've talked with, you tend to think of your black jeans or pants as options for the winter months... and to a degree, you're right. We gravitate toward the colors of nature each season... lights in spring, brights in summer, warms in fall and cool/dark in winter... but if we follow that mindset, we miss out on a good majority of our wardrobe working all year long- and that's no fun at all!

On our last post we talked about wearing white jeans in the fall, and here we will show you some ways to do the opposite... wear your black jeans in fall, and keep them feeling the Autumn warmth we all love!

We love a good leopard print, and this beautiful top from cabi clothing pairs perfectly with a good black jean or pant...adding a warm cognac belt and gold accessories really draws out the fall feel of the top, keeping the black bottoms feeling transitional rather than dark.

Another fully fall way to wear your black is with a camel jacket and leopard belt, which again carries all the warm colors we love for fall. And before you say you can't wear camel, remember there are lots of shades that work for any skin tone... a little more pink for the ladies who have cool undertones, and a little more yellow for the ladies with warm undertones- shop around to find the right camel for you... This pairing just takes black jeans out of winter and puts them fully into our cooling temps of Autumn!

The Army green vest isn't going anywhere! A great piece when we are changing seasons from Summer to Fall or Winter to Spring, it works great with so many looks! Here, we paired this cabi clothing vest with a basic white tee and black jeans... elevating this classic look, and also making the jeans feel very Fall appropriate... a little neutral or leopard shoe helps to keep the look light, but on the warm palette!

Moving from the bright pinks of summer, but not quite into the reds of winter, we have the beautiful plum that also says "welcome fall"! And while we tend to think orange, gold and brown for fall, this pairing of black, plum and gray lets you fit the season with colors that may be more in your wheelhouse and keep those black bottoms in your fall wardrobe rotation.

This look nods to the camel blazer we showed earlier, but leans a little more casual... going for a grayish black jean, they pair so naturally with a tan cardigan, white tank and camel belt and slides! Don't feel like black shoes are your only option with black jeans... a neutral flat/bootie is a great choice for fall!

We hope you gained some good ideas on how to pair your black jeans or trousers for fall to take you through the season and into the cooler months to come... use all those neutrals with black and you'll feel the warmth we love this time of year. For more style ideas, follow us on IG @cabi.addicts !
