Formal Events
Spring is a busy time for me with events for school/work etc. Some of those events are formal, and the one time a year when I actually search for some more dressier pieces. I am a class sponsor so I get to design/decorate/attend Prom each year and I always try to match my dress to the prom theme. Not necessary, just something I tend to do. 😁 Graduations are another event, which aren’t quite as formal but still a piece I look for slightly more dressy than I normally would.
Fortunately, so many cute online boutiques out there to find some great pieces and I always watch for sales or coupons as I hate spending a lot on a dress I may not wear again.
This black body con dress with mesh long sleeves from Pink Lily is so good. Super versatile and easy to wear in all seasons! And who doesn’t love a little black dress. It’s true to size but definitely hugs so if you want little more room I would size up. I’m in a small.

I wore with purple Guess pumps to go with our Haunted Mansion theme 💜 Since it’s black, the shoe choice for this dress is endless.
This cute dress that I picked up from Blushing Brunette Boutique for my son’s high school graduation is just precious. The length is perfect and the color is so pretty. It’s crazy to iron, so I won’t lie the dry cleaners is the way to go. 😬 The back is shaped as the front with a deep V, but has a cute tie closure so it still adds that back peek-a-boo.
