Styling an Overlay Jumpsuit 4 Different Ways

Jumpsuits are wonderful summer fashion staples, great on their own but with a few accessories, you can style them into several different outfits.

This is an overlay jumpsuit, it has a flowy sheer skirt attached at the waist. I always love unusual pieces and liked the lines it created.

This piece is by Boston Proper, it originally retailed for $150. I bought mine at NBC ( halfofhalf.com) which is my favorite retail store. They are 70-90% off retail. They are only in a few states so if you are lucky enough to live close to one, do check them out. My price on this piece was just $15! They are no longer sold in stores, but you can find a similar one here at Nordstroms rack

The jumpsuit brings enough glam on it's own, but adding dramatic fringe heels and a $3 straw belt from Shein creates the perfect date night outfit.

An oversized belted silk top creates a totally different look. Adding a top to your jumpsuit is such an easy way to create a new outfit. Off the shoulder tops look great too since the straps of the jumpsuit will blend with them. Bold blue in the top and shoes bring the outfit alive.

Using a button-down dress draped over the shoulders as an over jacket, I matched the navy polka dot belt and heels to it to create more of a dressy look.

Adding a black obi belt, black & white fedora, and Kate Spade sandals can be dressed up or down just by adding a floral kimono

A pair of flip flops would help tone it down even further. Adding casual items to a dressier piece is a great way to make it more wearable throughout the year. Instead of blazers, try different accessories like scarves, kimonos, and hats to create new looks for old favorites. Making your pieces more versatile is an easy way to expand your outfits without a lot of expense.
