Are you searching for an easy way to level up the pieces you already have in your wardrobe? Sometimes the perfect top just isn't the perfect length. You might want more of a cropped look to pair with high rise bottoms, but your top is too long. Well you won't have to search any further, because I have the perfect temporary fix to crop your favourite top that has three buttons!

Best fabric scissors!

Cut any fabric smoothly and easily with these bestseller fabric scissors that Amazon reviewers swear by!

Pick your desired top and throw it on. Remember, for this hack it needs to have three buttons.

Unbutton all of the buttons.

Fold the side with the button holes in half. Pinch the top and bottom hole together.

Button through both holes with the top button from your top. Adjust and play around with the fold that you've created on the one side so that it sits nicely.

Now you will start rolling the side of your top with the buttons underneath towards the inside. You will want to perform two rolls. In the photo above I have shown my first roll.

Above is the result of the second and final roll. You want to stop at the middle button and not have any other fabric remaining.

Take the second button that is still visible from the front and button it through the second hole. You will need to insert your rolled portion into the gap created on the button hole side.

Now the fun part! Play around and adjust the fabric to your preference. You can also tuck in the back of your top into your jeans for a cropped look all around, or leave it draping as is. I think this is such an easy way to elevate a top that needs to be shortened temporarily.
