Instructive Advice: Can You Wear a Sports Bra as a Top?
If you are like me, then you see all of the younger girls running around in their athleisure wear everywhere you go. Yet most of us grown women aren’t quite as comfortable being seen wearing these items in public as opposed to the gym.
So I thought it would be a fun challenge to see if I could channel the question of whether can you wear a sports bra as a top and still look fashionable.
However, when you think about it, this is probably not much different than when jeans came into play. The younger generation wanted to wear jeans (almost as a rebellion) and the older generation was not amused.
One thing that I say over and over is the fact that dressing in a modern way is not only good for our self-esteem, but also it tells the younger generation that we aren’t fuddy-duddies.

Can You Wear a Sports Bra as a Top?
Of course, the answer is yes. And for the older generations, you might feel more comfortable with the long-line sports bras where you wouldn’t show any midriff.
One of the problems with categorizing our clothing is you tend to only wear it for the occasion that you bought it for.
With the question of whether can you wear a sports bra as a top, you can get much more wear out of it if you just think of it as a short top with a bra in it.
Insider tip: Your sports bra could also be worn as a swim top.
The secret is realizing that not all sports bras are short. There are many that don’t end right under the girls. If you have trouble finding them, they can be called sports tops.
In all reality, sports bras aren’t much different than a crop top or Halftee, and I’ve showcased many ways to wear those pieces in the past.

1-Sports Bra Under Overalls
Any kind of overalls or even a spaghetti strap top or dress would be a perfect answer to can I wear a sports bra as a top? It acts as a bra for the girls and you don’t have to worry about covering your bra straps because they are part of the look.
2-Can You Wear a Sports Bra as a Top Under a Blazer
Wearing a sports bra under a blazer is a fabulous option. It is the definition of dichotomy or yin/yang style because you think of a blazer as professional and the sports bra is just the opposite.
This would work for any woman. If you don’t want to see any midriff, just wear a longer sports bra or higher-rise pants.
Insider tip: You can easily substitute a vest for the blazer if it’s too hot where you live.
3-Sports Bra and Fancy Skirt
The idea of pairing your sports bra with something fancy is the same concept as the blazer. Any kind of fancy skirt will have a dressier vibe and no one will even know that you are wearing a sports bra.
