Wow, I made my best ever jacket, its the Hampton Jeans Jacket by Alina Designs. Its such a great jacket, and I'm going to show you how I made it and how to style it two ways for summer and then into the winter!!

The pattern is The Hampton Jeans Jacket which is designed by Alina Designs Hampton Jean Jacket | Alina Sewing + Design Co. (alinadesignco.com) and I used a really cool Cream Canvas from Minerva.com which you can grab here > Mind The MAKER Fargo Cotton Canvas Fabric | 1422700 | Minerva

Fabric prewashed, pressed and ready to be transformed!

Firstly we're going to join the sections for the back of the jacket, that's the three back panels and then the yoke stitched on the top.

Next we're going to join the front bodice sections and add the welt pockets.

Next we're going to add the front top pocket bag behind the front bodice panels and then add the pocket tab.

Next we've just got to add the front yoke, stitching right sides together.

Lets complete the bodice by joining the fronts to the back at the shoulders and side seams.

Lets make the collar by stitching the two collar pieces together around three sides then turning right side out and pressing.

Then we're going to make the sleeves by stitching the upper and lower sleeve sections together at the under seam then the upper seam forming a complete sleeve.

Almost done now, the collar is attached and the bottom panel.

Now lets get those sleeves stitched in, here you can see I've got the sleeves and bodice pinned right sides together and then there's only the buttons to go!!

I really love this jeans jacket, the colour makes it so wearble for all seasons, here I've paired it with a cool cotton dress for a summer look!!

But, I think this might be my favourite way to style it, with my leather boots midi skirt and topped off with a scarf for a stylish winter look. Which is your fav way??
