In this cottagecore makeup tutorial, I wanted to show you how I do one of my go-to cottagecore makeup looks using a beautiful blush, a nice and glossy lip, some freckles, and a natural eye. This is my everyday look for when I do decide to wear makeup. Let’s get started!

Tools and materials:

  • Concealer
  • Powder blush
  • Cream blush
  • Makeup brushes
  • Freckle pen
  • Mascara
  • Eyeshadow
  • Lip gloss
Applying concealer under the eyes with fingers

1. Apply concealer

First, I’m applying concealer under my eyes to hide dark spots, and I’m just blending it in with soft sweeps of my finger in a single direction.

Applying blush with a wide brush

2. Apply blush

Next, I’m applying my blush to my cheek with a wide brush. I’m just tapping it into my skin with the brush up and down for a light transference and rosy look.

Applying a darker cream blush over the top

Next, I’m going to go in with a darker shade, and this time I’m using a cream blush instead of a powder. Dip the brush in just once and then tap it onto your skin since it’s a more vibrant color. Then, brush your cheek to blend it with the previous color.

Applying blush to the nose

I also like to add some of the cream blush to my nose.

Using a freckle pen to draw on freckles

3. Apply freckles

Next, I’m applying freckles by lightly dotting my face with a freckle pen. Most of them are close together but create a few outliers for a more natural look.

Applying a gold shimmery eyeshadow with fingers

4. Apply eyeshadow

For eyeshadow, I’m using this gold shimmery color and I just apply it to my eyelid using my finger. Just rub it on to cover the lid until you’re satisfied with the coverage.

Then, take a deeper color and tap it into the corner of your eye, just under the eyebrow tail, to create a bit of depth.
